Wireless Design and Installation Services

Preparation is key in building a successful wireless deployment.

SwiftNet Services believes that all wireless deployments require careful planning and consideration regardless of size. As result, we leverages an industry standard multi-step design and implementation approach typically reserved for large scale and enterprise installations across all of our deployments.

Upon arriving at your location, we will review several factors to understand the factors that will affect the design of an optimal wireless network

Floor Plans Reviewing your floor plan identifies positions of structural elements that impact signal propagation
Building Materials Understanding materials used in construction and design affects wifi signals
Electronic Equipment Some electronic equipment severely impacts some wifi signal ranges
RF analysis You may be asked for the existing wifi names (SSIDs) and we will walk the property looking for signal interference sources

Note: If on-site consultation is not available, we can conduct assessments remotely via email and phone assuming site drawings or approximate floor plans can be provided.

With the information gathered in the Location Assessment, we will select one or more potential wireless vendors based on conditions and create a projected wireless coverage map. The Site survey will:

  • Provide approximate number and placement of access points
  • Provide approximate number and placement of Wi-Fi mesh devices (if required)
  • Provide Wi-Fi coverage heatmap(s) outlining the expected signal levels across the selected frequency bands (2.4ghz, 5ghz, 6ghz)
  • Identify trouble areas of poor connection
  • Identify areas requiring special attention or equipment to provide quality service
  • Act as the reference plan equipment and wiring installation and future modifications

We will review the plans with you and make any revisions necessary taking into account any needs and cosmetic preferences to the best of our abilities and provide a revised survey.

With the information gathered in the Location Assessment and Site Survey, we will partner with you to select the appropriate wireless vendor based on your specific conditions and needs.

  • We test and pre-configure all equipment to ensure everything is working to specification.
    Testing Equipment

    Test and Configure Equipment

  • When installing equipment in your residence or place of business, we ensure that all equipment is installed to our exacting standards:
    • Precisely installed to the plan
    • Properly documented
    • Organized and cleanly installed
    • All cables 'dressed' and labeled to ensure ease of maintenance and identification
  • We take pride in leaving the location neat, clean, and ready for use.

After installation, we optimize the performance of the network by tailoring the configurations of the equipment to best suit your environment and needs, including:

  • WPA Security settings
  • Channel selection and widths
  • Transmit power levels
  • Mesh settings
  • Band Steering
  • Roaming optimization
  • Device isolation

All configurations are verified through real-world testing using advanced test suites, ensuring all equipment is operating at peak performance.

Once we are confident all equipment is tuned, stable, and operating at peak performance, we are ready to deliver your new environment:

Transition Equipment We will help you reconfigure your devices to use the new environment.
Answer Questions We know you will have questions about your new environment and set aside time to ensure you are confident in using your new equipment.
Final Walkthrough We will perform a final walk-through with you, ensuring everything is neat, tidy and meets our strict standards.
Deliver Documentation Throughout the installation process, we have documented your environment, and will provide you with:
  • A network map outlining how your equipment is connected to ease making any changes
  • The Bill of Materials (BOM) outlining equipment used in your project for use in replacement or expansion
  • All credentials required to access and manage your environment
  • Documentation provided with your equipment
